Card Haven is a free fan project. It keeps only what it needs to save your decks and collection, counts page visits without cookies or identifiers, shows no ads, and never sells or shares your data.
Without an account
Everything you do stays in your own browser. Your decks, your collection, the game you picked and your theme are saved in your browser's local storage on that device and are never sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
With an account
Signing in lets your decks and collection follow you between devices. For that we store:
- Your email address, and a display name if you give one. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us.
- Your password, only in hashed form, if you use email sign-in. We never see it in plain text.
- Your decks and your collection. We also keep earlier copies of your collection when a change would remove a large part of it, so an accident can be undone.
We use your email only to send sign-in, verification and password-reset codes. No newsletters, no marketing.
Accounts and saved data are hosted by Neon, which also keeps your sign-in session while you are signed in. Each account can read and change only its own data.
Visit counts
We use GoatCounter to count how many people visit and which pages they view. For each page view it receives the page address, the page title, the site you came from, your screen width, and the browser and country that can be worked out from the request. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not store your IP address, and cannot follow you across other sites. We only ever see totals.
Card images and hosting
Card images are loaded directly from the publishers and community archives that host them (Riot Games, the Pokémon TCG API, Scrydex, GitHub and Bulbagarden). Like any website, those services and our host, GitHub Pages, receive your IP address when your browser requests a file. Card Haven tells your browser not to send them which page you were on.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
- Show ads or use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Build a profile of you or follow you across other sites.
Your choices
You can export your decks and collection at any time from the app. To have your account and everything saved with it deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, open an issue on GitHub and we will take care of it.
Changes
If this changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will say when.
